KRU BOY

Finding a good Muay Thai coach can be challenging with so many gyms and personal trainers popping up all over the place teaching kickboxing or Muay Thai. Muay Thai training isn’t just about teaching technique – although it makes our lives much easier if you have been taught by an experienced instructor from the beginning (it is a lot harder to change wrong technique once learnt than it is to teach new students straight from the get go). A good Muay Thai coach understands Muay Thai rules, Muay Thai injuries, be able to give you advice about your training, be able to break down your technique to fix it, be able to recognise which bouts you are experienced enough for and which bouts have the potential to leave you injured. Training Muay Thai the correct way from the beginning will lower your chance of injury from incorrect techniques and incorrect pad holding.

Our head trainer and owner, Kru Boy, lives and breathes Muay Thai.

Like most Thai’s he started training Muay Thai as soon as he could walk and went on to have his first fight at the age of 8 years old. He has since won multiple titles including; Northeast Thailand state champion 2002, Northeast Thailand state champion 2004, WMC Champion 2009, 2cnd place world championships in Bangkok 2005, 2cnd place Issan state championships(boxing) 2005.

He has fought in the world renowned Lumpinee stadium, trained 6 time world champion Jomyutying Kiat Nor Wor, and now trained many of our fighters up to be state, national, and south pacific champions.
